Following graduation Kathryn undertook a six month residency at The Muse Gallery on Portobello Road. She has continued to exhibit internationally in group shows, including in the Jerwood Drawing Prize, the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize, at Christie's International for 'The Best of The Drawing Year 2012-13', and at the 'Betweenlands' exhibition hosted by Blain Southern in 2014.
In 2016, Kathryn collected a £10,000 award for winning the 29th Sunday Times Watercolour Competition, a contest she previously won in 2014. The competition, celebrates “excellence and originality in the medium”, and is considered the largest and most prestigious showcase of contemporary watercolour painting in the UK.
Reflecting on her time at the University of Brighton, Kathryn said: “I enjoyed lithography and woodcut and I guess some of my mark-making in my paintings reflects that.” Kathryn later took a postgraduate programme at the Royal Drawing School and she has held residencies at Dumfries House and The Muse Gallery.
Kathryn now lives and works in a south London studio.
