Richard Rowland, was a documentary photographer who worked in both the commercial and arts sectors, with a particular passion for the urban environment. He exhibited, and was published extensively, both in the UK and overseas.
Richard Rowland, who graduated in 2005, was a documentary photographer who worked in both the commercial and arts sectors, with a particular passion for the urban environment. He exhibited and published extensively both in the UK and overseas. Solo shows included the University of Westminster, London and the Light House Media Centre, Wolverhampton, with group exhibitions in the Kosovo National Art Gallery and the Format Festival, Derby, among others. Richard was funded by Arts Council England and Heritage Lottery Fund, the latter leading to his first book, The Regency Project, in 2007. More recently, his short film, Occupy – the Diary of a Protest was screened at the Brighton Photo Biennial 2012. His work was also published in The Guardian, the British Journal of Photography and Wallpaper Magazine.
