Work Write Live

To inspire, motivate and develop your writing

Work Write Live is an award-winning initiative which offers workshops, retreats and one-to-one support to help people of all ages to build confidence with writing and the creative process.

Work Write Live uses innovative writing techniques, established learning and teaching methods, and coaching strategies to help participants' enhance their writing and their personal/professional development.

Work Write Live was established in 2006 and is run by Jess Moriarty, an experienced writing teacher based at the University of Brighton Faculty of Arts.

As well as our open access courses, we undertake community projects and offer in-house or external training to universities, businesses and other organisations. We also run workshops in confident speaking and the creative process.

How we can help you and your organisation:

  • Half day or one day writing workshops and longer courses, on writing, public speaking, creativity, and a range of other personal and professional development topics
  • Overnight retreats, providing space to reflect upon and develop your writing
  • One-to-one coaching to identify and develop writing projects and other professional projects and to assess and improve your work-life balance
