Professor Susannah Hagan and Luis Diaz have been awarded a grant by CUPP to work with the Triangle Community Group. This scoping project will produce initial strategies and designs for improving the 'Triangle' of streets and houses in Brighton for which the Triangle Community Group has taken responsibility (between Lewes Road, Upper Lewes Road and Union Road). It will be a genuine collaboration, led by Triangle, between the community group, members of the Office for Spatial Research, and architecture students, some of whom may live in the area concerned.

Initial strategies and designs for improving the physical fabric of the community catchment area by December 2010 will then form the basis of an application for further funding to develop a phased improvement programme for the area that could be presented to the Brighton and Hove Planning Department and to interested developers.
