The Community Art Extension Studies is a course that involves 2nd year undergraduates from a range of subjects working with pupils and staff at Patcham High School. It provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to work with pupils in Patcham High School in facilitating an exciting and stimulating art project. It aims to provide pupils from Patcham High School with an inspiring educational experience of creating art. Based both in the school and in the university pupils and students work together with the course leader to create artwork to exhibit in the school. Pupils at Patcham High School develop their awareness of art and design, through direct contact with University staff and students, begin to see the potential of these subjects as possible areas of future study and eventual employment.
