Research disciplines

Researchers are supported for individual and project work within disciplinary structures, which give a development platform across their shared practices, methods and academic backgrounds, and an easy point of reference for those unfamiliar to the university structures.

Research centres and groups

Research at the University of Brighton is organised into Centres of Research and Enterprise Excellence, each with a formal management structure and an established reputation for producing outstanding research that is of international standing.

The academics working in art, architecture, design, humanities and media belong to a number of interdisciplinary groups and centres. Those listed here are based within the schools dealing with arts and humanities.

Research news and articles

Researchers contribute regularly to a shared hub of interdisciplinary knowledge. Through this system of news and articles we are able to articulate research projects beyond individual outputs, develop new connections and maximise the potential of the research environment.
