A Celebration of Architectural Education.
The University of Brighton will host the 2015 Architecture Student Network (ASN) Conference "A Celebration of Architectural Educationon" on June 17th and 18th.
The event on Wednesday 17th June is being run by the University of Brighton. Lecturers Dr Emma Cheatle and Catalina Mejia will host a one day symposium entitled ‘The Verbal & The Visual’, exploring the dynamic relationships between the visual and verbal in educational, academic and professional architectural settings.
Thursday 18th June will be a day dedicated purely to the ASN and Architectural Education. On the day all students attending the conference will bring a small selection of design work, which exemplifies best each Architecture School's direction. This will enable us, as a network, to view and discuss work that is inspiring, inventive and, most importantly, enjoyable - a celebration of architecture!
During the day there will be the opportunity to discuss the ASN's attitude towards mental health within architectural education, in response to the University of Toronto’s recently published results of its first mental health survey in architectural education.
The conference is open to any former or current architecture student and is free to attend. To find out more and to register your interest in attending, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
or on Facebook ‘ASN Celebrates Architecture’. Both days will be held in the Circus Street Old Market, following on from the Architecture and Interior Architecture degree show.
