Florian practices in Berlin and has built a range of work including a number of housing developments where he has operated by gathering the future inhabitants together to develop a site. He was the recipient of the Architekturpreis Berlin in 2009 for his Strelitzer Strasse housing (where he also lives and has an office) that includes a number of artists and furniture makers among its occupants. Behind a sober façade there are a range of completely different flats hidden behind. They were not allowed balconies on the street side so he invented fold out balconies that appear when strange doors in the façade are opened (see gif on link). There are also some
fun bathrooms.
