Physics and Poetry: Digital and Conceptual Poetics in Theory and Practice
Daniel Shelley-Smith is a second year PhD student at Aberystwyth University currently working on a collection of experimental poetry concerning physics. This presentation will explore the perspective of writing physics as poetry, the translation and transposition of physics into poetry, and the issues raised by this approach in practice. In the application of the 'graphemechanical' text in both print and digital poetics, it is argued, the perceived complexity in the relationship between art and science resides in appearances and perspective.
