Office for Spatial Research
The Office for Spatial Research is made up of members from Architecture and Interior Architecture and Urban Studies. The purpose of the Office is, first, to encourage and promote the wide variety of research being done within these subject areas, second, to form research collaborations across the School, Faculty and University, and third, to maximise the impact of this research locally, regionally and internationally. To this end, the Office engages in academic research, research consultancy and research-by-design projects with stakeholders in the city of Brighton and Hove, the southeast region and beyond.
The Office consists of individual members and two research clusters: re:LOCATE, whose members are from the School's Interior Architecture programme and examine a range of spatial scales 'from the inside out', and Urban Performance, whose members pursue cultural, technical and design dimensions of environmental research.
