Screen Archive South East films on the British Film Institute’s Player
Screen Archive South East is delighted to announce the inclusion of films from its collection on the BFI’s Player made available by funding from the National Lottery and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation through the British Film Institute's Unlocking Film Heritage Digitisation Fund.
Britain on Film is an ambitious project involving the high grade digital restoration of thousands of films from both the British Film Institute and the nation’s regional film archives. So far, 124 films have been submitted from SASE’s collection with more to follow, providing easy viewing access to researchers, students and the public. Searching by either subject, location, date explore the Britain on Film map searching and watch films that span the 20th century which feature not only professional films but home movies and amateur productions.
