Solar Energy

The article described work that was part of a large EPSRC project looking at all aspects of supply air window design.

Effective U-Value

An outcome from this work was the demonstration that supply air windows can deliver very low U-values in a UK context.

Aspect Ratio

This work demonstrated the improved solar gain factor of the window compared to a double glazed design with much poorer thermal characteristics.

LightLab

Aims to bring the technical and aesthetic qualities of light together in architecture studio using new physical and computational techniques

Passive Whole-House Ventilation

This paper describes a programme of research into this innovative approach to whole-house ventilation with heat reclaim.
