Dr Vy Rajapillai lectures in media, communication and English language.
Her interests lie in activity theory, cross-cultural communication, multimodality, language teaching/learning and educational technologies.
Vy Rajapillai lectures in English Language. After completing an MA in Contemporary Approaches to English Studies at Goldsmiths’ College, University of London and a second in Media Assisted Language Teaching at the university of Brighton, Rajapillai joined a three-year EU funded project at the University to carry out her doctoral studies on cross cultural collaboration and communication. She has also worked on a research project for the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) investigating how technology can support stakeholder participation.
Rajapillai’s research interest is the area of cross-cultural collaboration/communication. She is interested in investigating the role of culture in the uptake and use of online communication technology for cross-cultural collaboration/communication. She is also interested in Web 2 technology for learning and teaching.
