Performance and Visual Art
The Performance and Visual Art programme (PAVA) consists of a cluster of interdisciplinary undergraduate and postgraduate courses which allow you to combine visual art with music, dance or theatre.
The programme prepares you, through a variety of skills, resources and methodologies, to be an active and dynamic performer and artist within the context of contemporary art. It encourages you to explore the complexity of the contemporary world, to be reflective and critical, and to make work that shows an independence of mind.
Our graduates go on to be successful performance and live art practitioners, visual artists, musicians, composers, choreographers, film makers, producers, theatre directors and movement researchers. Many work in media-based industries and establish practices as professional artists, whilst others choose to further studies at postgraduate level.
Our BA(hons) undergraduate programmes consists of Performance and Visual Art (Dance), Performance and Visual Art (Theatre) and Music and Visual Art.
We also offer an MA in Performance and Visual Practices.
