Beds (2002 - 2009)

In 2002, I began photographically collecting beds I slept in, in locations that were not familiar to me. I am interested in the psychological space between sleep and consciousness, and how the change that occurs within that space is recorded by the bedding.  Through the photographs, I capture the tension of vulnerability between the private experiences of sleeping with the public space of the hotel.
