Short courses in creative writing, languages and philosophy

The University of Brighton Faculty of Arts offers part time study on a number of non-degree courses. These range from short courses of a few weeks, to certificate courses which can be studied over a number of years.

We offer University Certificate in Modern Languages in French, Spanish and German at a number of different levels, leading to the internationally recognised Intermediate Certificate and Advanced Certificate. Students can take these from foundation level, or join at higher levels with proven prior experience.

We also provide bespoke language, literature, or language teacher development courses and can offer this to organisers of training courses, summer schools or workshops.
