Emerging talent recognised
One of this year’s Faculty of Arts, Mdes Fashion with Business Studies graduates has scooped the Emerging Talent prize at the 2012 Sussex Fashion Awards.
Olivia Hearnshaw, won the award for her graduation collection which will now feature on award sponsor ‘Made By Britain’s’ retail website, where she will be able to sell her bespoke, limited edition and one-off pieces. Olivia also has full editorial space to promote her work in blogs, social media and press wires.
The Sussex Fashion Awards are held annually to celebrate the finest from the fields of fashion, design and textiles and aim to honour and raise the profile of the fashion industry and to encourage British made products and services wherever possible.
This year the 30 finalists included models, designers, photographers and fashion journalists and 10 of the 12 awards presented went to those who make their products or provide services in Britain.
The competition was judged by a panel of professionals from a number of fashion-related disciplines and high-profile companies.
