New courses are regularly introduced at the University of Brighton Faculty of Arts. The following have recently begun or are planned for the next academic year.
- Film and Screen Studies BA(Hons) examines the cultural, social and political impact of screen-based representations and their changing structure. See the History of Art and Design subject area
- New courses in creative art forms include Digital Music and Sound Arts BA(Hons)/MFA and Moving Image BA(Hons)/MFA in the Photography, Moving Image and Sound subject area
- Sustainable Design MA. Through the research and development of objects, spaces and experiences, this one-year programme of postgraduate study aims to invigorate the culture of critique that empowers design with the qualities of social, economic and environmental change. - Two new Humanities degrees start in September 2009: Globalisation: History, Politics, Culture BA(Hons) and Humanities: War, Conflict & Modernity BA(Hons). See the Humanities subject area
