The University of Brighton Faculty of Arts is home to a number of significant collections and archives. Supporting the work of scholars and students from many academic disciplines, locally, nationally and internationally, the curators initiate and promote collaborative activity through a programme of publication, exhibition and seminar projects that contribute substantially to the research profile of the University of Brighton.

The University of Brighton Design Archives holds major collections of visual and textual documentation; Screen Archive South East is a moving image archive established in 1992 at the University of Brighton. The Aldrich Collection of art was initiated in 1995 by Michael and Sandy Aldrich with a significant collection of works produced by staff, students and associates. The Ray Watkinson Library is a collection of rare books focussing on the history of art and design. Further specialist collections including practice-led PhD theses are held at St Peter's House Library, part of Information services.
