Rhiannon Ellis a (BA Hons) Illustration student at the Faculty of Arts University of Brighton, is in with a chance of winning the Lloyds TSB ‘Art of Nurture’ illustration competition.
Rhiannon has been selected as one of three young illustrators to go forward to the grand final at The Saatchi Gallery in April.
The announcement took place following a finalists' presentation event at the Delphina gallary in London.
The national competition is in its fourth year and continues its partnership with the Prince's Trust and Arts & Business, a national arts-based charity for young people.
Students will have the opportunity to gain a cash prize and national recognition via exposure of their work in well-known galleries around the UK.
Paul Burgess, acting course leader for the (BA Hons) Illustration course at Brighton commented:
‘We are extremely proud of Rhiannon, and wish her well in the grand final at the Saatchi Gallery in April. If she were to win then this would bring important recognition to both Rhiannon herself and the Faculty of Arts at Brighton’.
Should Rhiannon be successful, she will see her art work featured as part of a future Lloyds TSB advertising campaign.
