Three ex-Performance and Visual Arts students pool their talents.

A trio of enterprising graduates from the University of Brighton Faculty of Arts Performance and Visual Arts BA(Hons) course have formed a film production company called Bat On Ball Creations, based at Zu Studios in Lewes, East Sussex.
Creative director Merry (Meredith) Colchester, who founded the company, works with recent graduates Balint Revesz and Ruben Woodin Deschamps specialising in film and visual arts production.
Merry has worked as an actor and lighting designer, as well as writing and producing films. His background is in interactive performance, producing a series of 'psychological immersive experiences'. He has extensive experience in organising, producing and directing theatres shows, parties and festivals and often works as the producer within Bat on Ball, co-ordinating and structuring the shoots.
Balint started working in the film industry as a child actor and from there moved to the other side of the camera, working in a range of roles, from assistant director, editor, runner, director and producer. On completion of his degree at the Faculty of Arts he won awards from Seoul Institute of Arts, South Korea and Nagoya University, Japan for his final year project. His current role at Bat On Ball Creations focuses on developing feature films and documentaries and scouting projects for international co-productions.
Ruben works as director of photography on narrative shorts, documentaries and music videos on a range of formats. His experience outside Bat On Ball includes interactive mixed media film installations, interactive documentaries and directing short/feature film and music videos.
The creative trio describe their venture as a collective of passionate filmmakers with experience in short film, documentary, music and promotional video production. And with a range of awards and industry experience behind them, look well placed for success.
