University of Brighton Faculty of Arts graduate Milo Hartnoll is one of only ten artists to make it through to the final of a national portrait competition.
Milo, 22, who graduated this year with a Illustration BA(Hons), is a finalist in Sky Arts TV competition to find Portrait Artist of the Year.
The series will air this autumn and be presented by Joan Bakewell and Frank Skinner. Milo took part in the filming of one of the four heats in London’s Trafalgar Square earlier this month.
The winning artist from each of the heats will take part in two further portrait challenges, including painting a public figure or famous person.
The finalists’ work will be displayed at the National Portrait Gallery and the overall winner will be awarded a commission worth £10,000 to produce a portrait of double Booker and Costa Award-winning author Hilary Mantel.
