2011 placement student Suzy Horada goes from strength to strength
15 Aug 2013
Former Design Archives' placement student Suzy Horada has topped off a hat-trick of post-placement successes with the award of the 2013 National Archives Education Bursary to assist with professional entry to work in the archives sector. Suzy was first offered a project-based role in the Archives throughout the final year of her course - History of Design, Society and Culture BA (Hons). She then gained the graduate trainee Records Management Assistant post at the University of Liverpool. Finally she has won a place on the UCL MA Archives and Records Management course, in an extremely competitive environment, for entry this September. The award of the Bursary and the place are a tribute to Suzy's single-minded pursuit of her career objectives. A placement in the Design Archives has inspired a number of students to go on and study archive or museum courses at post-graduate level. We are delighted to have helped to bridge the gap between college and workplace in this way.
