Alma Boyes and Cynthia Cousens from 3D Materials Practice will speak at the University of Brighton's Centre for Learning and Teaching seminar 'Talking about Teaching', organised by Pauline Ridley
15 Aug 2013
The title of their short presentation is "Learning Tool support for live demonstration”, and their research has been supported by Learn Higher Project funding and the School of Architecture and Design.
Friday February 6th from 1-3pm in Mithras 228
This session will be of interest to all members of staff who use demonstrations or similar teaching methods in art and design, science, clinical subjects or any other discipline. It will build on some current research into how students learn through demonstrations, and provide an opportunity for colleagues to share practical problems and solutions.
The event will also mark the launch of a new cross-University network of staff in this area. We anticipate holding occasional face to face meetings supplemented by online discussion through Community@Brighton, to explore common issues and identify potential areas for further research.

If you cannot attend but would like to be included in the Centre for Learning and Teachingnetwork, please click this link http://staffcentral.brighton.ac.uk/clt/events/registrationTAT.htm and we will keep you informed of future activities.
