Andreas Lang lecture: Designing Informalities

As part of the '1:1 From Material Public Works to Structural Details' MArch technology lecture series, Andreas Lang from public works will introduce projects and methodologies which use, as their starting point, a one to one direct engagement with the site and its user / communities.

Public works is an art and architecture practice working within and towards public space. All public works projects address the question how the public realm is shaped by its various users and how existing dynamics can inform further proposals. Our focus is the production of public space through participation and collaborations. Projects span across different scales and address the relation between informal and formal aspects of a site.
