Oscar Sedkowski is the 2010 winner of the Noel Davies fund prize awarded to final year Architecture students for outstanding graphic technique for his work on his two final year design projects: 'Programmers Code Exchange' and 'Social Condenser as a Parasitic Structure'.
A space designed for programmers to design and exchange codes, comprised of 8 pods which are situated across the site [each pod focusing on the different conditions of the site] Additionally, the building is clad in bioplastic which allows the exterior skin of the structure to decompose, altering the conditions of the spaces even more through time.
A social condenser that behaves as a parasite, feeding off the adjacent school, taking its programs and structure and extruding them into the public realm. In doing so it allows for the integration of students and public within one space, allowing for interaction between the two while the exposed steel cage provides a future structural support for additional structures.
