This project was born out of a desire for different forms of smart dress, specialising in the casual interpretation of sophistication for the Modern Gentleman. Researched showed that the modern man, who who has grown up in today’s more relaxed society where casual style dominates, require clothing that provides the elegance and professionalism of a suit paired with the casual comfort of everyday clothing.
George studied British gentleman clothing and what made it the world authority in smart menswear. This allowed George to understand and define the criteria that makes sophisticated, professional style. Through exploration and design development George then discovered ways to apply these criteria to a range of knitted menswear.
