Norquay started as a reportage photographer working for major Sunday supplements, such as The Sunday Times, photographing people. Her works attempts to control the invention, construction, composition and lighting of a subject. She has collaborated with institutions such as The Crafts Council and The Glassworks on various commissions.
Norquay's most recent work includes a collaboration with an international textile company (Lewis Designs) to produce photographic textile designs and predictions (these have been published in View, an international publication, and can be seen in issues 33, 35, 37, 39 - ISBN 1384 5306). This work has also lead to commissions published in style magazines such as Marie Claire and Vogue.
