A singer and illustrator brings his dual talents together to promote his band's new album

University of Brighton Faculty of Arts BA(Hons) Illustration graduate Duncan Barrett has combined his musical and artistic talents in his band’s new video and album artwork.
Duncan, who is lead singer of east London Indie band 'Tigercats', hand drew a frame-by-frame animation for the band’s Full Moon Reggae Party promo video, spending over 100 hours lovingly animating this fluid, dream-like clip.
The illustration is in the same style he used for the band's 7" picture disc single Banned at the Troxy, and forthcoming album, Isle of Dogs. All three pieces of work build a visual language reflecting the world the band evoke in their music. The work is currently featured in Creative Review.
Duncan is a freelance illustrator who lives and works in London and is one half of illustration and web design duo Crayonlegs. His partner Sarah Lippett, who also studied Illustration at Brighton, has had her work published in the Guardian.
