27 Mar 2014
University of Brighton Environment and Media Studies BA(Hons) student Tegan Tallulah has her own radio talk show Future Focus on Radio Free Brighton – an online community radio station.
Tegan, who is a budding writer and environmentalist, writes and presents the entire show herself, focusing on issues of sustainability, social justice, green economics and politics. She describes Future Focus as a positive, solutions-based talk show about sustainability.
Each episode is centred around a particular theme such as food, energy, travel or consumerism and includes an interview with a ‘mover and shaker’ from that field.
In her first programme Tegan interviewed Howard Johns, director of local company Southern Solar which was set up in 2002 and installs solar panels and thermal water systems.
Tegan said that she is fascinated by the power of the media and hopes to train as a journalist following graduation. She also writes her own blog Earth Baby .
