MA Photography graduates' unique impressions of the Russian capital.
07 May 2014
A group of MA Photography graduates who travelled to Moscow had their work featured on the BBC website.
The group, known as the MAP6 Collective includes Mitch Karunaratne, Chloe Lelliott, Heather Shuker, David Sterry and Paul Walsh who graduated in 2012.
The Moscow Project saw them set out on a journey to describe the city, applying their own unique approach to photography. Each of the photographers engaged with the city by focusing on a chosen theme exploring its history, geography and people: the interior details of an off limits space centre, the anonymous faces of workers confined within underground kiosks, the transitory solitary figures passing above and below the city, or the modernist structures towering over the cities inhabitants.
Work from the project is currently featured in an exhibition at the Tower Gallery in East London and the photographs will also appear in book form.
