Katrin Bohn advising German food charity

University of Brighton Architecture researcher and lecturer Katrin Bohn has been invited onto the scientific advisory board of a potentially far-reaching action-research project initiated by the German local food charity NAHhaft e.V.
with support from the German Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development and the Germany-based World Food Institute e.V. T
The project aims to establish Germany's first Food Policy Council, following a practice that originated in North America and entered Europe via the UK during the last ten years. The first two-day workshop of the project was recently held in Berlin.
This appointment continues Bohn's engagement around subjects of food and policy which are currently being pioneered all over Germany.
Always adding an urban and architectural design angle to the multi-disciplinary discussions and activities in this subject area, she has already been invited onto the advisory board of Cologne-based food systems charity Taste of Heimat e.V. in 2014. Bohn is a founding member of the City and Food Working Group operating in the Berlin area which has just celebrated its first anniversary.
