Wanda Garland was born in Krakow, Poland. Exiled with her family to Soviet Union for 6 years, Wanda came to London at the age of 14 and attended art college. She completed Art Education at the Central School of Arts & Crafts, London. She worked as a textile designer and teacher in London while continuing her painting. She has been painting and print-making fulltime since 1997.
Garland uses watercolours, guache, acrylics and oils, on paper and canvas. In print-making, specialises in etching, wood- and lino-cutting. Her paintings and prints are held in private collections in Britain, US, Canada, Mexico, Portugal and Poland. Some of her works are in public/corporate collections in Poland and the UK. She exhibits regularly in mixed shows.
