Yuko Michishita

Yuko Michishita is a Japanese illustrator currently based in Sunshine Coast, Australia, soon to relocate to Melbourne, Australia. He was based in the UK from September 2004 to October 2011 when he completed a BA in Illustration at the University of Brighton and started his career as an illustrator in 2009.

The inspiration for his visual aesthetic comes from a range of subjects, such as organic natural forms, historical scientific diagrams and the playfulness of Modernist typography. All of his work begins with a detailed pencil drawing. This is then scanned and coloured digitally, allowing him to finetune the artwork to a high precision.
