A screening by Screen Archive South East of The Mayor of Casterbridge, a newly restored 9.5mm film from Shoreham Film Studios, will be presented this week.
The rare copy of Sidney Morgan's 1921 film of Thomas Hardy's book stars Joan Morgan. The film is being
screened this Friday, 10 June, at 7.30pm at West St Lofts in Shoreham as part of a programme of film and music for Adur Festival. It includes original work by Shoreham filmmaker Becky Edmunds with a live soundtrack performed by Scott Smith and Phil Jones.
