Martin Andersen takes Gold at the Promax Awards.

University of Brighton Faculty of Arts Graphic Design BA(Hons) lecturer Martin Andersen who is Creative Director of Andersen M Studio has just added another award to a growing cache of industry accolades by winning a Gold Award for the ‘Best Ident’ for ITV3 at the Promax Awards. Idents are short pieces which provide brand identities for the broadcaster, shown between programmes.
Promax UK is an organisation of industry professionals who encourage excellence and innovation in the field of Television Marketing and Branding.
Andersen M Studio specialises in art direction, graphic design, photography, animation, film and music works in a creative partnership with sister Line Andersen.
Martin has taught at Brighton since 2000 and since starting the studio in 2001, has won more than 16 International Awards, amongst the most prestigious being two Gold Lions at Cannes 2010 and Three CLIO's for their stop-frame animation Going West.

The siblings also won first prize in the Young Director Award by CFP-E/Shoots in 2010 and recently won Best Illustration at the Best Awards, London 2012 for their character designs in their animation Star Alliance.
Their work has been published in books and magazines Worldwide and been exhibited in China, France, Holland, Japan, Mexico, UK and USA. In the past year their work has been featured in TV broadcasts in Germany and USA.
The stop-frame animation Going West has had more than two million views on YouTube alone since 2010 and the campaign for JK Rowling’s Pottermore was prior to the announcement, the fourth most subscribed YouTube channel of all time.
The campaign was also included on all of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 DVDs which sold more than six million copies in the first month of its release.
