Every year CAPPE hosts a wide range of events, open to the public, to students and to academics.
See events from 2019/20 onwards on our CAPPE news and events website.
We place particular emphasis on introducing our high quality research environment to the broader public, and to engaging in active debates about the philosophical, ethical and political quandaries which confront local, national and global communities. The Centre also aims to foster a new generation of research active and engaged academics concerned about the quality and the impact of their research. To this end PhD students organise an annual conference, host reading groups, organise weekly seminars, and are introduced to teaching in academic contexts on the Academic Programme in Humanities.
