CAPPE hosts regular workshops on political, ethical, philosophical concerns. Recent examples include: complicity and the problem of ‘dirty hands’; the politics and ethics of charity; populist politics; protest; conflict, revolt and democracy in a neoliberal world; the work of Ernesto Laclau; the Convention for Higher Education; Adam Smith’s lessons for the Left; Italian biopolitics and feminism and the populist politics of Spain and Greece.
