Feminist theory of the1970s-80s included a specifically socialist-feminist approach, which is currently being looked at again. Michèle Barrett’s Women’s Oppression Today has recently been republished with a new essay reflecting on its arguments in the light of subsequent debates. In this session she reflects on some of these issues, picking up on the concepts of patriarchy, reproduction and ideology.
