Is voting a moral duty, a real chance to make a difference, a pragmatic necessity or simply a waste of time? Worse than that does voting actually function simply to legitimate a system which ought to be abolished? If we do vote should we do so tactically or on the basis of conviction? If we don’t vote what else can we do and what should we be doing?
Ahead of the upcoming national election CAPPE is invited staff, students and members of the public to come together to discuss these and related issues. The discussion was opened with brief contributions from a panel of speakers before we opened the debate up to the floor.
