A new version of LiVi has been released as a component of the VI-Suite, a set of environmental analysis tools using Blender's new scriptable nodes. The VI-Suite can be downloaded from http://arts.brighton.ac.uk/projects/vi-suite/
Version 0.3 of LiVi will be the last stand-alone version.
We are pleased to announce the availability of LiVi version 0.3. LiVi is available as a zip file containing the LiVi Python scripts, user manual and some auxiliary files. The compressed zip file for Windows, OS X and Linux is available here.
LiVi is released under a GPL version 2 license and the source code can be checked out from the Google Code repository at https://code.google.com/p/livi/. The LiVi repository runs with the mercurial version control system. Once mercurial is installed, to check out the current 0.3 release use the following command:
hg clone https://code.google.com/p/livi.livi03/
To check out the latest development code use the following command:
hg clone https://code.google.com/p/livi.devel/
As LiVi is under heavy development the development version will often not function correctly.
Blender and Radiance (both free, open-source and multi-platform) also need to be installed on the host system. Full installation instructions are can be found in the user manual on the Documentation page.
