The Magic Lantern Society and the Screen Archive South East host a magic lantern performance at the University of Brighton on July 3.
On Saturday, July 3 the Magic Lantern Society and the Screen Archive South East are hosting a special magic lantern performance at the University of Brighton Sallis Benney Theatre. The event runs from 4:15 to 5:30 and is open to all ages free of charge.
This is a rare opportunity to see magic lantern images projected as they would have been in Victorian times. Dr. Frank Gray will present slides from the Screen Archive South East collection and University of Brighton lecturer Amy Cunningham will present a new multimedia work.
