The Faculty of Arts presents Here and Now Part II, a continuation of the mixed-media exhibition of work from 2nd Year students. The show runs from the 16 – 26 March in the University of Brighton Gallery at Grand Parade and is open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm and on Saturdays 10am to 4pm.
Drawing together work from BA (Hons) students in the fields of Performance and Visual Art, Photography and Moving Image the exhibition is curated by Barry Barker (Principle Research Fellow in Contemporary Visual Arts) alongside elected student curators from the different disciplines. Here and Now Part II will include performance installation, live performance, photography, moving image, interactive sculptures, video dance works, installation works, musical and sound compositions and site-specific and text-based works in a synergizing mix, showcasing the freshest work in the performance and visual arts.
BA (Hons) Photography students continue to explore the versatility of photography as an art medium, developing and expanding new and established concepts through lens-based media while BA (Hons) Moving Image students seek to push the creative boundaries of film. BA (Hons) Performance and Visual Art students explore dialogues between visual art and performance developing interdisciplinary forms through a creative and experimental approach.
These three courses are coming together in what will be an exciting and memorable show at the Grand Parade Campus in March.
