Display
This display is a glimpse at the research diaries of two practice-based PhD candidates and artists, Louisa Buck and Gavin Fry. Gavin and Louisa employ different methods of inquiry into long established art forms and seek to explore and demonstrate how these art forms can be modes of knowledge production.
Both individuals’ diaries are dynamic, discursive and speculative. Whilst referencing and analysing ancient myths and traditions they address and investigate, through very different types of drawing practice, questions in the ‘perpetual present’.
This is a CRD research work-in-progress display, in collaboration with the Drawing Research Interest Group (DRIG). For more information about holding a work-in-progress display, contact Lucy Cooke or Philippa Lyon. For further information about DRIG, contact Philippa Lyon.
