Exhibition
Containing a myriad of creative, curious and exciting artworks from over eighty arts practitioners, S T R E T C H brings together new works by the University of Brighton’s second year BA(Hons) Fine Art students.
Spanning across the disciplines of painting, printmaking and sculpture, the exhibition comprises of a wide range of individual artists’ practices and promises to piece together an inspiring and eclectic mix of materials and concepts. True to the exhibition’s title, the artworks within the exhibition, overlap, stretch and bridge the boundaries of the three respective disciplines; printmakers work with butter and concrete, painters with household paint and papier mache, and sculptors with photography and performance.
The exhibition pinpoints the halfway place within the three degree courses and echoes how painting printmaking and sculpture students expand and push their ideas, their artworks and themselves.
