The Re-Shaping Learning conference brought together academics, students, practitioners and critics from across the disciplines of education, architecture, art and design, estates management, museum and gallery learning and the social sciences.
Keynote speakers were Professor Ronald Barnett of the Institute of Education, University of London,
and Dr Jos Boys of the University of Brighton.
It was organized around a series of workshops given by invited contributors, all experts in the field. These included:
Delegates were able to engage in multidisciplinary and creative discussions throughout the event. The aim was to capture debate as it happened, so as to develop our understanding of this complex subject area.
Delegates were also asked to each bring an A1 poster to the conference/design school, outlining their interests, as part of the process of sharing of differing perspectives and helping to take forward our collective understanding of what the future holds for learning spaces in post-compulsory education.
