At many conferences – even those about re-thinking learning spaces – the format remains one of formal lectures followed by seminar presentations, with very little time for debate or future planning.
Re-shaping Learning wants make discussion central. We have therefore arranged the two days to enable as much time as possible for group workshops. Delegates choose between 2 alternatives in each half day session. Here, 2 presentations will be given in sequence, followed by workshop where delegates agree key issues and action points related to their given theme, and communicate these visually.
Following all 3 half-day sessions, we will undertake a final shared workshop on the last afternoon to bring issues and proposals together as a ‘manifesto’.
In addition, all delegates are asked to arrive with an A2 poster, briefly outlining their interests and concerns.
