After an early training in dance and acting Jacky Lansley went on to perform and devise work with innovative groups such as X6 Dance Space, Strider and Limited Dance Company, and was a founding editor of New Dance Magazine, as well as a founding member of Chisenhale Dance Space.
In 1997 she formed ‘Through The Fire Productions’, with whom she has made several pieces: "L'Autre", (adapted from the ballet drama "Petrouchka"); a one woman show "Do My Shoes Reflect The Quality Of My Intellect?"; "Les Diables " and "Bird" - a dance play.
