Far away from the production of objects, I work directly on perception. My aim is to be awake right now, in the presence of our daily life. I work sharing directly with the perceiving people, participation is therefore essential. My events are site specific they take in consideration the meaning of the context. I generally choose public spaces so I can be in touch with people from different backgrounds. The relationship between art and rurality always interests me.
I have a PhD in Visual Arts and teach (University of Paris VIII and U. of Montpellier). I have participated in '32+32=2000', (32 artists marrying 32 villages of the centre of France); in Gramby and in 2001 with Langage Plus in Alma; SQAL/LP in Brighton in 2000; Par le Milieu in the south of France; In The Event of Emergency organised by Emco; the Redaction of Art au L'iëcle et Utopie Collection Art 8. I have been a founding member of ‘Belt: A Space in Between’, and participated in ‘Temporary Accommodation’ at the Whitechapel Gallery in 2001."
