Visions is a ten day festival of visually amazing performances, exhibitions and films promoted by the University of Brighton. This year's visions has a distinctively global flavour, with many companies making their first appearance in Britain from as far afield as India, Austria, Spain, Germany and France. Many companies spice performances with video, projections, animated objects, soundtracks and actors to create a very different, dramatic experience.
Visions has invited Wireframe, one of the most exciting companies from our last festival, to create an animated environment in
Fabrica, the gallery in a disused church. We have also commissioned puppeteers and dancers to create short pieces for other unusual locations.
You will find puppets taking to the pavements during our packed opening weekend, with many free "visions starters" performances; and there are lots of shows for children during half-term.
Come and join us for the feast!
